Hello guys, hope all of you are doing good. I am delighted to do a review about my hands down favorite perfume in 2017. Famboise Noire by Shay & Blue London is just everything! But let's get into details first:
- Top Note: Rare black raspberry with mixed forest beries for a hit of red fruit
- Heart Note: A touch of chic iris pallida
- Base Note: White oud and black woods underpin the composition for a darkly noir finish
The fragrance was handcrafted in England with real flowers, fruits and spices.
Packaging: I received the perfume in the most beautiful way. I don't think I ever had a perfum with such a nice packaging. The package arrived in a blue box filled with blue confetti (see picture at the bottom). The confetti prevented the perfume box from damaging. Everything was perfectly aligned.
The perfume box with a blue ribbon on it made everything look more glamorous than it already was. The whole packaging made you feel like you never want to throw it away and that there's something really special inside. Simply picture perfect.
The Flacon: The glass flacon looks so super elegant with its golden cap. The cap got the initials "SB" and "Boutique Perfumery" engraved. Everything was kept in a golden and blue tone. Is there a better color combination than these two? As you can see, I am really and honestly in love.
The Fragrance: As I already said this fragrance was basically my 2017 highlight scent. I had the chance to take it with me to Ghana, therefore it has special memories attached to it as well. I normally go for flowery and lighter scents, so this one was quite something different. It's pretty intense in a good way and it's hard to describe, but once you smelled it, you feel super vivid. The mixture of the berries and the black woods feels like a sweet scent at first, but once it faded away, you come to feel the "darkly noir finish".
Key Information: This perfume was the best autumn-winter fragrance 2015 by Vogue and the best scent of 2015 by Lucky Scent Niche Perfume Awards. All Shay & Blue products aren't being tested on animals.
Other Opinion: "Framboise Noire sparkles intensely on skin. I imagine a shadowed forest wedding buried deep in flickered, firelit-trees. It is deeply satisfying to wear with a frosted burgundy fade out. Framboise Noire is another pitch perfect addition to the Shay & Blue collection" The Silver Fox for CaFleureBon
My Opinion: I tried this fragrance out for quite a while - during summer and now during autumn. I feel like it's more of an autumn perfume, because it makes me feel cozy and warm. But then again I loved it during summer, because it had a wild and fruity touch to it, which is hard to describe but it felt and smelled fantastic. I need to stop using it too much, because I want to keep this one forever. The packaging, the love for details, the website - everything looks super well thought and lovely. I can recommend this fragrance to anyone who loves intense scents. And can we talk about how this fragrance isn't fading away? I put some on my scarves a while a go and they still smell like this amazing perfume. I love it. Honestly, I really need to go visit Shay & Blue the next time I'm in London, because I am sure that I will find many more other fragrances I won't be able to keep my hands from. Oh and by the way, I am very sure Shay & Blue products are a perfect gift for the upcoming festive season, in case you need a gift. They have so much to offer, I simply have to recommend it to you guys.
